FAIRTRADE promoters were out in town handing out free coffee, tea and cake vouchers for people to use in cafes.

Angela Feaviour and Clare Twelvetrees from the Leighton Linslade Fairtrade Group dressed as bananas and made the journey to Tring and Berkhamsted by bus as part Fairtarde Fortnight’s Take a Step campaign.

Their appearance on Saturday generated a lot of interest as they handed out Fairtrade tea and coffee samples on their journey.

The pair met up with The Justice and Peace Group, which campaigns on behalf of Faitrade in Tring, and set up a display on the High Street where they handed out information leaflets and half price vouchers for Fairtrade coffee, tea and cake available at participating cafes.
