A SHOP was rewarded for its imagination and impact when it won a best-dressed window competition.
Fancy That in Tring’s High Street was crowned winner of the contest organised by community group Tring Together to celebrate the Royal Wedding.
Entrants were judged by Mayor of Tring Roxanne Ransley, who awarded Graces second place for its creativity and Renaissance third for a true wedding theme.
Tring Together events manager Mel Matthews said: “Tring is such a wonderful place. All the businesses took part and they all created a colourful sight in honour of the Royal Wedding – thank you everyone.”
The competition was part of Tring Together’s Tring Spring Fayre, a fortnight of activities to mark the start of spring in the town.
The community group continued to give the town a seasonal vibe by organising the planting of the High Street flower boxes.
They were prepared by gardeners at Sunnyside Rural Trust in Northchurch on Thursday, May 5.
The boxes are sponsored this year by Stephen Hearn from Tring Market Auctions.
