Most of a barn was destroyed in a fire that burned for more than an hour-and-a-half.
Fire crews from Berkhamsted and Tring rushed to the blaze in Park Road, Tring, at about 8pm last night (Wednesday).
But they had to call for support from two Hemel Hempstead-based fire crews, along with one from St Albans, two from Aylesbury and one from Chesham.
The fire was under control by 9.40pm, but firefighters stayed there until 11.30pm.
Watch commander Stuart Saunders said: “The roof of the barn collapsed in on itself. It was a very big fire.
“The barn was being used to store a car, and they were looking at renovating it to form some industrial units.”
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
