Medical technology specialist Dräger has thrown its support behind a charity that changes young lives by taking children with serious illness or disability on a dream holiday to America.
Dreamflight has been treating children to life-changing trips for 27 years but, as a registered charity, it relies solely on fundraising and donations to enable the 10-day holiday to take place every year.
For the second year running, Hemel Hempstead-based Dräger has offered to support the worthy organisation by loaning a specialised transport ventilation device to accompany the Dreamflight team during the holiday should it be needed.
The compact and robust Oxylog 3000 plus helps caregivers treat and transport patients safely and provides feedback on the effectiveness of ventilation therapy.
Dräger is also sponsoring T-shirts for the children and the volunteers to wear on the day they jet off to Florida and the day they return.
Lesley Youren, Dräger Medical UK’s marketing manager respiratory care, said: “We were happy to provide our support to Dreamflight in any way possible as the work the charity does to help enrich the lives of young children is invaluable.”
