A battlefield tour following the footsteps of the Hertfordshire Regiment during the First World War is now open for bookings.

The overnight trip covering southern Belgium and northern France is run by the Herts at War centenary project and will follow the troops’ journey from the Western Front in November 1914 up to the now famous Christmas truce.

Great war historian Dan Hill said: “Visiting the sites where men fought and died for their comrades, king and country is an incredibly moving experience.

“By following the personal stories of individual soldiers whose experiences have been long since forgotten, we will bring their exploits back to life.”

The tour begins on Saturday, December 7. For more details and prices, click here.
