Dacorum will have the chance to gather together in honour of Billy Dove as fundraising festivities take place across Hemel Hempstead on Sunday.
A Billy Dove Memorial Cup and Community Campaign Day will take place at Leverstock Green Football Club, while a Billy Dove Memorial and Family Fun Day will be held on the same day at Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club.
Both events are being run separately, with money raised at Leverstock Green FC going to the Billy’s Wish Charity, and the Hemel Town FC event organised in support of The Ben Kinsella Trust and The Billy Dove Memorial Fund.
The community campaign event at Leverstock Green FC, which will also see some money donated to meningitis research, has been organised by Billy’s dad Paul Dove and the Dove family.
Entry to the community day is £1 per person, while children U12 can enter for free. Events start at around 10am.
The festivities at Hemel Town FC, meanwhile, organised by Billy’s sister Lucy Taylor, get under way at 11.30am.
Anyone with a Billy Dove Memorial wristband will be allowed entry for £1, otherwise it will be £3 to enter. U12s can go in for free.
