Gazette reporter to judge Miss Herts contestants

THE judges for the Miss Hertfordshire competition will include a Gazette reporter and two former pageant winners.

Abena Bailey will join last year’s Mr Hertfordshire winner Aaron Whitnall and Miss Hertfordshire 2008 Laura Nuttall in marking the efforts of the 30 finalists.

It will be the second time the journalist, from Hemel Hempstead, will be judging the event, which this year will be held at the Travelodge Stevenage Little Wymondley Hotel on Sunday, March 18.

She said: “I feel so honoured to be asked to judge the event for a second year running because the Miss Hertfordshire competition and title becomes more prestigious each year as its winners go on to do increasingly prominent modelling and television work.”

Dacorum contestants include Andrea Jane Bunker, Hayley Griffin, Sheryl Page (pictured) along with Yasmin Bettis from Hemel Hempstead and Georgia Craze from Berkhamsted.
