A CANAL boat scheme that takes young and disabled people on the waterways has a range of volunteer opportunities.
Skippers are needed for a new wide-beam canal boat at ReachOut Plus.
Helpers must be fit and healthy, available on a regular basis and have a current Boatmaster qualification or the desire to attain one.
For a less hands-on role, an administrative assistant is required to help at the boat base in Nash Mills, Hemel Hempstead.
The role includes helping with the co-ordination of volunteers and keeping records.
If you like hanging out with friends, chatting about celebrity gossip, football results or just having someone to go shopping with, the Circles programme could be the perfect volunteer opportunity. It links young disabled people, aged 14 to 18, to volunteers, aged 16 or older.
Patience, empathy and a sense of fun is needed for this role.
