Fans of theatre trivia won’t need telling that the bumbling Private Godfrey from the ranks of Warmington-on-Sea’s finest in Dad’s Army was not only a real life war hero but a prolific playwright in his day.

Arnold Ridley’s biggest hit with the pen was the classic The Ghost Train, which is being revived by the Little Gaddesen Drama Club in May.

And auditions will be held at 5pm on Sunday if you want to be involved.

There are a range of acting roles up for grabs, and backstage and front of house jobs to do as well. Rehearsals will mainly be on Sundays between March and May.

If you can’t get there on Sunday but want to know more, call director Roy Beach on 07775 572 363 or email roy.beach@gmail.com.
