Into the home straight, and Losers are so upbeat about their achievements

Fun, fellowship and fighting the flab – that’s the triple win whammy for contestants taking part in this year’s Hospice Of St Francis Biggest Loser challenge.

They’ve been raising cash while slimming down, and the winner – the fundraiser who has managed to lose the highest percentage of their initial body weight – will soon be revealed at a gala event in Berkhamsted.

In the first nine weeks of the challenge the Biggest Loser band had already lost 34 stones between them.

And they’re committed to continuing their support for the hospice once the challenge is over – they’re going to be stepping out on the hospice’s annual Midnight Walk at the end of June.
