A drummer who performed as a dancer in the London Paralympic Games opening ceremony hopes to have cracked the music business after being signed to a record label.

Gareth Tyler, 28, says things are moving fast after joining post-punk band The Dash.

They’ve just filmed an advert in Berlin that is set to hit screens worldwide, but Gareth, of Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead, is not allowed to reveal the details.

He said: “In London no-one knows who we are but in Berlin it’s absolutely bonkers. Because of the advert we were filming our name was posted everywhere.”

The band, which has just released the single 3 Times More, will be supporting Pete Doherty’s band Babyshambles on part of their UK tour, starting at the Exeter University on October 20.
