Restaurateur Grant Young is having a charity dinner for The Hospice of St Francis as a tribute to his friend Mark Major, who lost his battle with cancer last year.

The event at Restaurant 65 in Hemel Hempstead’s High Street on Thursday, April 5, will feature a jazz band and six course dinner.

The menu of British dishes includes a goat’s cheese panna cotta and a braised pig’s cheek with sage mash, pancetta crisp and a red wine jus.

Grant said: “Mark was a good friend of mine and a fellow chef who helped out and supported my restaurant so this dinner has been inspired by him.

“If it goes well it could be the start of a regular event.”
