Inquest opened into dump truck death

AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a man in an accident involving a dump truck at a former RAF base in Flaunden.

Geoffrey Crow, 48, of Greenways in Eaton Bray, Beds, died on Monday just after 8am at the site off Chenies Hill.

The provisional cause of death has been given as multiple traumatic injuries.

Earthworks are taking place at the site.

Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
