Performers took to the stage in front of a sell out audience at BerkoFest’s festive Winter Wonderland.

Narrated by TV’s Adrian Scarborough and organised by Richard Henders and Claire Winsper of Music Theatre Course, the volunteer-run event held at Berkhamsted’s Centenary Hall was designed to get people into the Chrismtas spirit.

And if the adults needed a little liquid encouragement there was plenty of mulled wine on offer, which sold out on Saturday.

Charlie Hussey from BerkoFest said: “It was a great success. There was a really nice vibe and it was a really good family event.

“The whole point was to put on a quality festive show. The whole thing was very professional and good fun and the full house went away happy.”

How much has been raised towards putting on next year’s BerkoFest musical festival is not yet known.

Among the performers was West End stage opera singer Phillip Conway-Brown, BerkoFest’s own musicians Shane Lamont and Henry Parker and a female trio the Jazzabelles, who sang an accapello festive medley.

The show ended with the audience joining the performers to sing Winter Wonderland.

Charlie added: “A huge thanks to all the volunteers -without whom this wondrous show of the highest calibre would not have happened.”
