HOSPICE at home nurse Liz Druro will be taking to the hills when she steps out on a Chilterns Three Peaks Challenge.
Liz, who lives in Hemel Hempstead, has worked as a specialist nurse for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home for more than three years.
She has signed up to the charity’s annual walk which will raise funds for the Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care (IRGH) – formed earlier this year through the merging of the Tring-based Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Grove House in St Albans.
Liz had hoped to take more of a back seat this year, having rallied a team of friends and family for the last two years – but friends had other ideas.
She said: “Some friends who haven’t taken part before are really keen to walk the chalk this year. They’ve persuaded me to do it with them.”
Fundraising walkers have a choice between a five, nine or 18 mile route on Sunday, September 18. Entry costs £15 for adults and £7.50 for children.
