A COMEDIAN running a comedy course as part of a festival has met 12 of his apprentices.

Wigginton-based comic Logan Murray, who will train the acts ahead of Tring’s Tringe Festival, was introduced to the hopeful dozen on Friday.

Festival organiser Ben Moorhouse, who founded the town’s Get Stuffed comedy club, said he is hopeful of four more trainees for the Become A Comedian course.

He said: “The ones I met were every impressive and one or two are very funny individuals.”

He said entrants for the competition, which awards the winning performers with a chance to support comic Arthur Smith, are mainly men and range from their mid-20s to 50s.

The festival, the final chapter of the Tring Summer Festival, runs from July 1 to 23.
