There was no missing the point of where beef comes from when Lord Harry the bull made a visit to Tring Farmers’ Market on Saturday.

The Aberdeen Angus bull owned by market director Terry Ives was part of the Taste of Tring theme that saw stall holders offering free tastings to shoppers.

The hot weather meant Lord Harry had to stay in his pen but he was photographed with town mayor Nick Hollinghurst and deputy mayor Roxanne Ransley.

Janet Supple, of Tring Farmers’ Market, said: “We had a good turn out and there were a lot of people pointing out to their children where beef comes from.”

The next big event will be the Apple Fayre in October but there is also another farmers’ market on September 22.
