A blue Ford Fiesta in lane three swerved across lane four into the central reservation where it was shunted by a red Toyota Carina.

The crash happened at 8.15am between Junction 8 and 9 northbound and the road was closed for around 20 minutes.

outofhemel, I take it you are the same person who in another story is advocating that parents don't involve the police when their children allege they are flashed at but instead take the law into their own hands?!!! That man was found not guilty yet you still suggest the parents should have dealt with him. You hypocrite.....!!!

If there were any offences caused here, such as texting while driving then the courts should throw the book at the driver. The motorway is constantly getting snarled up due to bad driving, lane hogging, drivers using mobiles etc. etc. and delays cost the economy millions. If it was a simple accident such as a tyre blow-out then fair enough, there is not a lot the driver could do.
