PERRIER Award-winning comedian Dominic Holland, pictured, will perform two nights at the Court Theatre in Tring next week.
The quick-witted comic has appeared on a string of TV shows including Have I Got News For You, The Stand Up Show, Edinburgh Nights, The Royal Variety Show and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Radio work includes The Small World of Dominic Holland on BBC Radio 4, named as one of the listeners’ most popular comedy shows, and Holland Shorts.
His blog Eclipsed, about his relationship with his son who is rapidly becoming more famous than his father, is getting rave reviews – and he’s written well-received novels, too.
Dominic has an acute eye for people’s idiosyncrasies and weaves minute details and observations into his material.
A regular at the Comedy Store and Jongleurs, his engaging stage presence gives his shows a real intimacy and warmth.
And it’s not just on stage that his talent for the funny is apparent – after recently careering too fast down a hill in Kingston on his youngest son’s scooter the funnyman provided an unplanned, and alas also painful, comedy moment for a stunned group of early morning commuters!
Get Stuffed Comedy Club presents Dominic Holland at the Court Theatre in Tring on Wednesday, October 3 and Friday, October 5 at 8pm.
The shows will be recorded for DVD.

Also on the comedy front, Jo Caulfield arrives in Chesham next week with her new show Better The Devil You Know.
The show was inspired by a rather alarming conversation with an audience member at a gig not long ago.
Jo said: “Five years ago I got married in New York. At a recent gig I was talking to a woman who’d done the same thing.
“She said: ‘Wasn’t it easy? Pay 50 dollars, get your licence, three minutes later you’re done. The hardest part is when you get back to Britain and you have to fill in all the paperwork and register it here’.
“I felt my blood go cold – I didn’t know we had to do that. Then it hit me like a punch in the stomach – I’m not actually married to my husband!”
The realisation that she is, in fact, still a single woman got Jo wondering what people would do if they had to make all their big life choices again and a new show was born.
Jo is a regular on many TV and radio panel shows including Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You but it’s on the live stage where she really shines.
With her razor sharp observations and her scandalous one-liners it’s no surprise that she was recently nominated as the Best Female Comic in the UK.
Jo, by the way, is planning on renewing her wedding vows.
Jo Caulfield – Better The Devil You Know will be at the Elgiva in Chesham on Thursday, October 4 at 8pm.
