Be green if you’re having a clear out - small electrical items can now be recycled at banks in Hemel Hempstead and Tring

Have your say

People having a spring clear out are reminded that there’s a green way to get rid of their electrical items.

New small domestic appliance recycling banks will accept phones, computers, keyboards, DVD players, toasters, kettles, hairdryers, hair straighteners, electrical toys, electrical toothbrushes, irons, remote controls, small DIY electrical tools, shavers, radios, video cameras, clocks and watches, small kitchen appliances and small fans.

The items are then shredded into their component parts and then sent for recycling.
