After 12 years without a Scout Group in Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead Scouts will be opening a new Beaver Colony in September.

The 5th Hemel Hempstead Scout Group is scheduled to reopen in September at Adeyfield Free Church.

The group is currently recruiting Beavers aged six to eight, and younger children can be put on a waiting list.

Peter Blackband, minister at the church, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hemel Hempstead Scouts back into our church and are really looking forward to opening a new Beaver Colony in September.

“5th Hemel Hempstead will be reborn as a group working in partnership with Adeyfield Free Church, and over time our plan is to build the group to include cubs and scouts. This is a wonderful opportunity to fill a gap in scouting in our town.”

Beavers will run on Friday evenings between 6pm and 7pm at the church in Leverstock Green Road. Call 07860 848603 or email join@hemel-scouts.co.uk for more.
