A free fitness class in Hemel Hempstead saw an army of couch potatoes ditching a weekend lie-in for a morning workout.
The one-hour exercise class was hosted by British Military Fitness as it launched its national outdoor fitness day initiative, designed to raise awareness of the benefits of exercising outdoors and encourage people to get out of the house. The idea is endorsed by British and Irish Lions rugby legend Austin Healey.
Around 20 people took part in the Saturday session held in the town’s Gadebridge Park.
The company’s managing director Rob Love said: “The day proved a massive success as many people acrossthe region swapped their sofas for an outdoor workout.
“Hopefully everyone who took part in the class can see the benefits outdoor fitness brings as they continue to work towards their goals.
“We would like to thank those in Hemel Hempstead who took part in the event and hopefully we will see many more faces moving forward.”
British Military Fitness is still offering a free session for anyone who missed out on Saturday’s event. Click here to redeem the offer.
