A council is still dragging its heels over implementing urgent measures at a lethal crash junction which has already claimed the life of a 74-year-old woman and more recently left a man seriously injured in hospital.

Officials at Central Bedfordshire Council say they cannot comment on whether safety measures will be introduced along the A4146 Hemel Hempstead Road at its junction with Pedley Hill and Hudnall Lane, near
Little Gaddesden, following the latest serious smash last week.

There have previously been calls for safety measures at the crash hotspot branded ‘lethal’ by others who have been in crashes there.
