Criminal damage to the window of WH Smith in Hemel Hempstead on December 28, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a woman in Hemel Hempstead on January 31, criminal damage to a car in Hemel Hempstead on February 5, failing to surrender to St Albans Magistrates’ Court on March 7 and damaged a codes of practice book belonging to Herts Police in Hemel Hempstead on March 10, all while on 12 months’ conditional discharge for a previous offence. Community order including 15 days education, training and employment programme, supervision requirement and 50 hours unpaid work, and ordered to pay £20 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

John Phillip McAleer, 22, Glamis Place, Hemel Hempstead. Stole DVDs to the value of £205.84 from WH Smith in Borehamwood on February 20, damaged clothes and household items to the value of £3,000 belonging to a woman in Borehamwood on February 22, stole DVDs to the value of £95.92 from Co-op in Watford on February 24, stole perfume to the value of £120 from Boots in Hemel Hempstead on March 1, and stole food to the value of £7 from Londis in Hemel Hempstead on March 25. Jailed for a total of 26 weeks.
