Headteacher Julie Kemp is leaving her job after being at the helm of St Bartholomew’s School in Wigginton for the last nine years.
Her leaving do is being held today, and her last day is on Friday.
Deputy headteacher Glynis McIntosh said: “She will be much missed by staff, parents and pupils at the school.”
Mrs Kemp helped the school achieve an outstanding Ofsted grade in November 2012 - which still stands.
She will be moving on to a job as a senior education adviser for Herts County Council.
