A town centre outdoor food court that came with a £350,000 price ticket has welcomed a new food vendor.
K&K Fresh Foods is offering Asian delights to the shoppers of Hemel Hempstead from a kiosk within the Marlowes dining area just outside of Boots.
It joins two already existing food vendors, one offering jacket potatoes and the other selling hotdogs to hungry punters.
Original plans were for a ‘street market style’ dining area featuring different food vendors but to date the project has been something of a disappointment.
The sail-style canopy has not become a place where people sit, socialise and dine.
It is part of larger Hemel Evolution works which are promising to breathe new life into the town centre, which will see the Civic Centre demolished to make way for a Morrisons supermarket and a new college campus, as well as other improvements to the town centre streetscape.
