The new September to December 2014 Hertfordshire Health Walks programme is now available.

You can download a copy of it from this website – or call 01992 588433 for more information.

Online there is also an Easyprint version of the walk poster for each area and a Powerpoint presentation for GP waiting room screens. If you would like to receive hard copies of the walk programmes to distribute, email Sian.Price@hertfordshire.gov.uk to be added to a mailing list.

The Hertfordshire Health Walks are a free programme of short sociable walks which take place across the county. All walks are led by trained and insured volunteers, and are accredited by the national standard through Walking for Health.

Many say the walks are beneficial for managing weight, lowering blood pressure, improving bone and muscle strength and helping to manage or recover from a variety of conditions. As well as this, the walks help people make new friends and discover green spaces and countryside near their homes.

More than 800 new people join the Hertfordshire Health Walks every year, led by 200 volunteers that give up more than 7,000 hours of their time.
