Up to 100 vintage vehicles will be gearing up for a spin through Dacorum as part of the Dacorum Community Trust’s annual fundraising tour.
The Spirit of Dacorum event is the Trust’s main source of fundraising income. Last year, the day brought in more than £9,000 for the charity which supports organisations and families in Dacorum.
All manner of classic cars are due to set off this morning from four points including Apsley’s Shendish Manor, The Red Lion in Water End, Aubrey Park Hotel in Redbourn and Tring’s Pendley Manor, where the historic motoring specimens will converge after a spin through the borough.
Among the drivers will be Mike Penning, who is setting off from Shendish.
Historic fire engines normally housed at Frogmore Paper Mill will also make up the procession.
