UPATED: Police investigation sparked as man in 20s suffers serious injuries in roof fall

Police are investigating reports of criminal damage in connection with an incident in which a man fell from a height of 40ft in Berkhamsted.

An ambulance, rapid response car and paramedic officer were sent to the scene in the High Street, where a man in his 20s was thought to have fallen from the top of the Royal British Legion building, Farriers Hall.

The man fell 40ft at around 5.30am, and shortly afterwards firefighters were called to assist the ambulance service with a somewhat difficult rescue operation.
