West End star Tabitha Webb, formerly the lead in Phantom of the Opera and Cossette in Les Miserables, is coming to Berkhamsted on Sunday for a charity concert.
The visit aims to raise the profile of Interserve’s charitable work with the ‘Homeless Dying’ in central Asia and orphans in south Asia.
The concert is part of a year long campaign, called Love Changes Everything, and includes eight events at which Tabitha will perform songs from the shows as well as sharing news of some of the charity’s work she witnessed first hand during recent visits to central and south Asia.
“Having left the West End to have my first child a couple of years ago, I am thrilled to be working with Interserve to help them promote the work that they do in so many key areas of need in the developing world,” Tabitha said.
“The opportunity to translate what I have seen and experienced in my overseas trips to audiences here in the UK for the Love Changes Everything Campaign in 2014/15 is good for me and hopefully for the charity and I look forward to engaging in this campaign.”
Tabitha has been extremely busy casting, writing and co-directing a new musical production, Love Beyond, which debuted at the The Brighton Centre in October last year.
The first event on the calendar is being hosted by Kings Road Church at the Civic Centre in Berkhamsted and Minister Ray Toms, is looking forward to the event.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to hear one of the West End’s great singers and performers and combine it gospel good news,” says Ray.
“I look forward to welcoming Tabitha and the Interserve team to Kings Road Church for what I know will be a special evening.”
Tickets for the event can be obtained via the church office on 01442 864393 or through the Way Inn, 268 High Street, Berkhamsted, by calling them on 01442 870768 or logging on to www.eventbrite.co.uk
