Chipperfield Choral Society will be performing the Mozart Requiem – one of the most revered pieces of choral music – among other great works at their Spring Concert next weekend. The event takes place at St John’s Church in Boxmoor on Saturday, March 15 from 7.45pm. Tickets cost £12 each or £5 for under 17s, and are available now by calling 01923 400520.
The programme will also feature the Laudamus Te from the Gloria by Karl Jenkins and the Te Deum by Bizet. The Laudate Dominum from the Mozart Vespers will be sung by Mary Bevan and local cellist Anna Beryl will be performing Dvorak’s Silent Woods.
The society’s John Morrish said: “With an exciting line-up of young soloists featuring return visits from the very talented soprano Mary Bevan, mezzo Rosemary Clifford, tenor Tom Robson and baritone Alex Ashworth, this looks set to be one of the highlights of the local musical year.”
