A first-time mum has set up a new crafty evening class for fellow mothers to enjoy some ‘me’ time and give them an opportunity to learn new craft skills.

Lisa Tridgell, who lives in Ridge Lea, Hemel Hempstead with fiance Chris, gave birth to their son Luca last July and used to work for creative companies Cath Kidston and Pink Lining.

Lisa, 28, said: “I want mums to come along, meet nice people and feel like they’ve accomplished something at the end of the evening.”

The Tuesday evening sessions are held every fortnight at Boxmoor’s Social Centre for the Blind on Alston Road, and cost £10 to cover the price of materials.

Each class will have a different theme and give mums a chance to try their hand at painting, sewing and other creative pastimes. For more information, visit www.firstmummiesclub.co.uk.
