Six musicians will put their vocal cords to the test during a singing marathon.

Duo bands Caution Horses and DodoBones and solo acts Jonny Fox and Tom Craven are being sponsored to play music during a 12-hour gigathon.

It is being held at The Olde Leather Bottle in Leverstock Green on Saturday from 1pm and will finish at 1am the following morning.

Music will range from acoustic, folk, country, pop and indie.

Face painting and cookie decorating will be on offer for little ones and £1 from every pizza sold will go to charity.

The bands will be giving their wages, sponsorship and money raised through an auction to Save the Children.

Organiser and one half of The Caution Horses Lauren Merrifield said: “We are going to be providing fantastic music for free all afternoon.”

They have raised around £400 of their £1,000 target. To support them go along on the day, visit www.justgiving.com/gigathon or text GIGA99 and the amount you want to donate to 70070.
