Brides-to-be who are searching for their perfect gown at a bargain price will be pleased to hear about a new discount wedding dress shop in Aylesbury’s town centre.
The new venture, opposite Specsavers on the High Street, is the result of a partnership between the Florence Nightingale Hospice and the Tring-based Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
An anonymous benefactor kindly donated nearly one thousand exclusive designer dresses, including bridal gowns, prom frocks and mother-of-the-bride outfits.
Now the two hospice charities have joined forces to launch the pop-up shop for a limited time only. The money from the sale of the dresses, which are being sold at a fraction of their value, will go directly to both charities, which care for patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
Rennie Grove’s director of retail Lesley Blencowe said: “We were very fortunate to receive a donation of almost one thousand one-off designer dresses, all brand new.
“So we have a huge range of unique bridal gowns and beautiful bridesmaid dresses to showcase in our pop up shop.”
Florence Nightingale’s director of income generation Lindsey Fealey said: “We are offering a stunning collection of outfits and accessories alongside our unique wedding favours range.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for both hospices to work in collaboration in terms of fundraising.”
