A man has been treated for a possible heart attack by paramedics in Hemel Hempstead town centre.

One ambulance and an emergency care practitioner car were called to Hillfield Road after a man collapsed in suspected cardiac arrest.

Two police cars were also at the scene, on the junction with Marlowes, after an emergency call at 2pm.

The man is being taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment.

It appeared as though a coach from Ashwood Travel was being blocked by police cars in connection with the incident, but the company has confirmed this was not the case and the coach, carrying schoolchildren, has now moved on.
