politics: MP Mike Penning has backed Prime Minister David Cameron’s stance on Europe.
The MP for Hemel Hempstead has spoken out in the row over the use of Britain’s veto at an EU summit called to deal with the Euro crisis.
“We are not part of the Euro zone and we have taken strong action to reduce our deficit and the Euro zone countries need to do the same,” he said.
“It is absolutely right that we do not sign up to measures that would not benefit us but would weaken our financial services industry. David Cameron has done the right thing for Britain.”
