On Sunday, I and several other photographers went up to Roundwood Park in London for a training day with Tim Hoy a lovely photographer who is helping me with the Photographers4Charity event.

We've had hundreds of photographers offer their time to raise money for Cancer Research UK by giving a day's free wedding photography to any deserving couple who have been touched by cancer.

The couple simply has to pledge to raise at least 300 for Cancer Research by asking the guests to their wedding to donate around 10 each.

If they only have 30 guests you can see that this is easily achieved.

Some very good portrait photographers wanted to volunteer but because they don't actually do weddings they thought they might not be able to take part so Tim organised this day for those people to come along and have some training with other professional wedding photographers.

He had a young couple, Maria and Kevin who are getting married in 2011 who volunteered to be models.

Maria wore her mum's wedding dress from 26 years earlier. Her dad is a photographer too and he was there.

It must have brought back so many memories.

Tim had arranged for the owners of the Roundpark Cafe to pose and had left leaflets around so that anyone at the park knew they could ask for photographs.

Tim's daughter took a photo of us all. I'm in the back row, second from right.

I'm afraid I spent most of the day talking and watching and didn't take many photos. That's a first for me.

Like myself, Caron Wasserman (front row) third from left is recovering from cancer.

She is a portrait photographer mainly but she wanted to do her bit so she came along and she says she learnt tons from it.

She is going to second shoot for Tim at the wedding for photographers4charity that he's doing very soon.

My daughter Emma came along to do the makeup for the 'bride'.

She's six months pregnant and the photographers soon persuaded her to pose.

In this photo I'm watching Mark Cornwell taking a photo of her while Nedine holds the reflector to stop the sun from shining on Emma's face.

The next photo shows the shot Mark took.

I really like it and hadn't thought of doing a baby bump from that angle.

We also took photos of each and we all learnt from each other.

Photographers are very sharing, generous people.
