Mums-to-be and parents with babies came from around Dacorum to meet up, share experiences and chat nappies during a Nappucinno morning.

The event, held at Hemel Hempstead’s Sportspace, was organised by Dacorum Borough Council’s waste services team to support the 17th national Nappy Week.

Parents attending the morning were given a talk about the environmental and financial benefits by the council’s recycling team and real nappy advisor Emma Stevens.

She said: “A child can be in cloth nappies from birth to potty for around £150 whereas disposables cost approximately £600 to £1,000.”

Emma has set up a scheme where parents can rent out nappy kits before buying them. Call 07736 835167 or visit www.hemelnappylibrary.co.uk
