CONTROVERSIAL plans near a canal have been accepted by a planning authority.

Bucks County Council accepted British Waterways’ plans for 12 homes and conversion of a former carpenter’s workshop at Church Lane in Marsworth.

Revised plans were accepted at a Development Control Committee meeting on Thursday, June 30. The company was told to rethink proposals in April amid fierce objections from villagers, who said it was too high

British Waterways has since lowered the height of one of the blocks, reducing the number of bedrooms.
