Playground refurbished with help from businesses

AROUND 60 supermarket workers spent their weekend sprucing up a children’s adventure playground.

Armed with donations from companies such as 3Counties Timber, Halfords, Homebase, B&Q, Travis Perkins, Pets at Home, Curry’s and Staples, new fences were erected, faded equipment was repainted and new equipment was created with wood supplied from the Urban Forestry.

Workers from Sainsbury’s in Herts, Beds and Bucks gave up their time to help with the makeover project at Adeyfield Adventure in Turners Hill, Hemel Hempstead.

It provides free play for children under the age of 14.
