  • The offender(s) cut the side curtain of the lorry and removed three pallets containing the goods
  • The pallets contained perfume, cosmetics and toiletries worth tens of thousands of pounds
  • Police urge witnesses or anyone who has been offered perfume or cosmetics to come forward

Pallets containing thousands of pounds worth of perfume, cosmetics and toiletries have been stolen from a lorry in Hemel Hempstead.

The incident took place in Three Cherry Trees Lane between 1am and 1.50am on Thursday, March 12, police revealed today. The offender(s) cut the side curtain of the lorry and removed three pallets containing the goods, which are said to be worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Detective Constable Tony Kong is investigating and urged anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact him.

He said: “Whoever was involved I believe will have needed to have use of another vehicle and would have been in the area for some time.

“Whilst this was in the early hours it could be that someone saw something which could assist.

“I would also ask anyone who has been offered perfume or cosmetics for sale at a discounted price either on their own or in bulk to contact me with information.”
