The contractor in charge of looking after Hertfordshire’s highways has promised it is back on track after a less than perfect start to its term in October.
Ringway apologised for its below-par service and blamed it in part on the long and harsh winter.
Ringway’s divisional manager Matthew Kelley said: “Although the new highways service had some implementation issues at the end of 2012, in part due to the severe weather, new contract specifications and a new team all operating within a new contract structure, these provided a valuable learning opportunity.
“This has driven improvements to the systems that generate publicly reported faults and better communication between different systems. I am delighted to say the service is back on track.”
