Runners help Team Macy cause hit £40,000 fundraising milestone

A team of 18 runners, all from Hemel Hempstead, took part in the Bupa London 10k to raise money in memory of Baby Macy Cruickshanks.

The group raised £700 through the event held on Sunday, May 24, bringing the grand total raised in Macy’s name to a staggering £40,000.

Parents Helen and Paul Cruickshanks, of Leverstock Green, launched the fundraising effort following Macy’s death in November 2012 from a heart condition when she was just six weeks and one day old.

The money raised have gone to the Royal Brompton Hospital where Macy was treated and the Cardiomyopathy Association.
