Two wheels are certainly better than four as another Oakman Inns Cycle Sportive gets under way in the Chiltern countryside.
Cyclists can choose between a 50k and 70k route, both of which are suitable for newbies and the more experienced.
The event includes two scheduled pub stops at The Akeman in Tring and The Red Lion in Water End for complimentary drinks and snacks to refuel.
The day will end with a barbecue at The Kings Arms on Berkhamsted High Street.
It starts at Lovelo Cycle Works on Berkhamsted High Street at 7.30am on Saturday, October 6.
