An alopecia sufferer who set up her own range of stylish wigs hopes her unconventional fashion show raked in an overall total of £200 for charity.

Samantha Barnes held the launch event for her business Tangled Wigs in Hemel Hempstead’s Old Town Hall, attracting more than 40 people.

The models sported Samantha’s wigs and outfits from Marias Bootique, who also sold clothes on the night and donated 10 per cent of their profits to chosen charities Alopecia Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness UK.

Britain’s Got Talent contestant Big Mama Funk also performed live.

Samantha said: “It went fantastically well, everyone said the atmosphere was good and lots of the women have had fun trying on wigs.

“I think I have spread the message that wigs can be sexy and fashionable.”
