Lockers Park School in Hemel Hempstead announces plans for pre-preparatory school.

The new pre-preparatory school for children - both boys and girls - aged from four to six will complement the current school and will be equipped with the latest facilities and a dedicated team of staff.

Headteacher Christopher Wilson said: “We believe that welcoming pupils from the first year of primary education allows us to offer a full and excellent solution for children and their families.

“We anticipate that this will cement Lockers Park as a unique educational offer in our region.”

Youngsters who attend the pre-preparatory facility from September will learn numeracy and literacy skills, French, science and philosophy. They will also enjoy fun activities such as woodland dens, stories, art and creativity and sports.

Although the pre-prep will be for both boys and girls, the existing school in Lockers Park Lane will remain for boys only.

Mr Wilson said: “At Lockers Park, we will now be able to provide an outstanding and appropriate education for children from the very beginning of their school lives, taking boys through to Common Entrance of Scholarship exams at 13 plus and moving them onto some of the best senior schools in the country.

“The launch of the pre-preparatory school is a very exciting new chapter in our long history.”
