A TOURING dance troupe from the area’s top performing arts school will be taking to a stage close to home to showcase their talents.
The Tring Park Dancers’ Company Tour at The Elgiva in Chesham on Thursday, March 15 will feature contemporary, ballet and jazz by its graduating students.
There are pieces from in-house choreographers and work that has been devised by the students themselves.
It will be the first full evening show by the company since it launched last October and the tour will end with a London performance at The Shaw Theatre on Friday, May 18.
Under the direction of Tom Linecar, The Dancers’ Company Tour gives the final year students the opportunity to get out onto professional stages and bring all of their training to life in front of a live audience.
There are plans to extend the tour to more venues next year.
With an alumni of pupils in hit television shows, such as Downton Abbey, in The Royal Ballet and cast in West End shows, this is a chance to see the stars of tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the school has been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
An inspection in January said the school ‘provides excellent value for money, and stated that progress, achievement and retention as excellent, while students are given a wide range of opportunities.
