See invisible sculptures
The amazing sculptures by Willard Wigan are all but invisible to the naked eye.
Works mounted in the eye of an needle or on a hair will be exhibited at The Radlett Centre, on Aldenham Avenue on May 22 and 23.
Willard Wigan's seemingly inconceivable micro-sculptures have to be viewed through microscopes. It has been described as "the eighth wonder of the world".
He has famously said that he works between heartbeats to prevent the pulse in his finger causing a mistake.
His distinguished career as an artist began as a dyslexic child. Having been bullied and tormented, Wigan found solace in his unique gift of creating art of such minute proportions that it is only visible through a microscope.
The exhibition will feature up to 25 pieces, including Henry VIII and his six wives in the eye of a needle and the Lloyds Building made from white gold and platinum on a pin head.
