Vinnie – well-known in Tring for her outings on a parrot harness with Mel – was last seen in the town’s Icknield Way, near Dundale Woods.

Mel offered a £100 reward to whoever could find Vinnie and used this website and the Everything Tring Facebook page to appeal for the public’s help.

“Vinnie is finally home having enthusiastically flown down from a tree in Egerton Drive.

“Thank you to all the shops and pubs who displayed posters for me and to the patient residents who put up with two hours of me calling and coaxing this morning.

“Now Vinnie is back home and feasting on nuts after her unwelcome adventure.”
