BEST foot forward and shoulder to the wheel is the attitude Tring Town Council is taking with converting its 10 year plan to a parish plan for the town.
Councillors decided to set up a steering group to find out about available grants and opportunities in developing a parish plan at the last Town Council meeting on Monday, February 20.
A parish plan is a document that sets out a town or village’s economic, environmental and social vision for the future and how it can achieve its goals.
It outlines how the government at all levels and local service providers can act to deliver the plan, which addresses the wishes of the people who live in the area.
Councillors recognised its potential for improving Tring.
Councillor Nick Hollinghurst said: ”I don’t think we shouldn’t teeter at the edges. We should put our best foot forward and shoulder to the wheel on this one.”
